Good Florist Guide goes to the Castle!

There’s going to be an awful lot of Good Florist Guide T-shirts at the Leeds Castle Festival of Flowers this year. Not only are GFG florists going to be creating a stunning display inside the castle but there’ll be another GFG team creating an amazing Moongate outside in the grounds as well.

And if that wasn’t enough, yet more GFG’ers will be hosting floral jewellery making classes as well, when the team will help visitors get ‘hands on’ to show just how versatile flowers can be.

Commenting on the decision to take part, Caroline Marshall-Foster, who heads up the Good Florist Guide initiative, said: “Having been involved last year with Flowers of Colombia I know Leeds Castle Festival of Flowers is a fabulous event; totally independent and open to all florists to be part of.

"It’s the same with Good Florist Guide – totally independent and open to all florists - so it made sense that our first ‘public’ outing would be somewhere that shares our goals and aspirations; to showcase beautiful floristry in a friendly, informative and totally professional way. And with the help of some of our amazing supporters*, SouthEast Flowers and FleuraMetz, it’s all going to be rather gorgeous.”

The theme of this year’s Leeds Castle Festival of Flowers is Ladies Day and florists from here and abroad will be adding femininity to every part of the castle. They’ll be making their designs throughout Thursday and Friday (13th - 14th September) with the VIP preview being held on Friday evening.

From Saturday 15th to Thursday 20th September the Floral Marquee will play host to free demonstrations and talks which, along with a tour of the floral clad castle, is included in your ticket price which also allows return visits as many times as you like. To book visit
