Given the total chaos of the whole process, the truth is that anything we write may change overnight. However as of 23rd January this was the current position based on both a deal and a no deal scenario and which we hope helps a bit ... if nothing else shows that, in the event of a no deal, there is a strategy.

On Tuesday 18th December 2018 at the age of 92, David Austin Snr OBE died peacefully at his home in Shropshire, surrounded by his family. The famed plantsman began following a desire to breed roses in his early twenties and went on to create flowers so special and instantly recognisable that David Austin Roses are now the variety most associated with the typical English garden rose. His eponymous company grew to become a household name across the worldwide flower and garden community.

Forever the quintessential Valentine’s flower, roses are of course under the spotlight in February as part of the Flower Council of Holland’s Flower Agenda, which puts the focus on one flower each month with a PR push. In the houseplant calendar, which should be gaining more momentum each month as the trend for indoor jungles continues to grow, ferns are in favour this February. Playing a lead part in ‘gram-friendly houseplant style, a Fern – especially if displayed in a giftable pot – could also make an alternative Valentine’s gift.
