Florismart and Flowering Direct merge

In a joint statement Ronald van den Burg,  Managing Director of Flowering Direct and Pieter van Leeuwen, Group CEO of Florismart have announced a merger.

Announcing the news Ronald and Pieter (left and right above) said: "Both companies will continue to share the same vision to provide florists with a reliable service and a superior product at competitive prices.  However we believe that by joining forces and merging their operations we can strengthen our market presence while enhancing our product offering.   As a result we believe their customers will benefit from the best of both companies.

No change of personnel is planned and both companies will continue to operate independently.  However they will co-operate on sourcing, back-office and logistics and look forward to the continued support of both their cuosmters and suppliers.
