Marginpar … more than just flowers
With one of the most amazing flower walls we have seen in a long time and some seriously cool new varieties too Marginpar are growers to follow.
The story started in Zimbabwe back in 1988, quickly developing to farms in Kenya, Ethiopia and Tanzania where two of their newest varieties - Clematis Amazing® (pictured above) and the Jatropha Fire Cracker are grown at unique locations close to Kilimanjaro.
With a head office in the Netherlands not only do the farms produce some amazing flowers but – as advocates of all things sustainable – Marginpar follow FSI standards and provide both work, education and respect for their workers.
And when it comes to design ideas Marginpar are amongst the best. Their stand at the 2019 FloraHolland show was one of the best and didn’t just feature our favourite in a long time flower wall but a whole host of other amazing designs courtesy of some of the top Dutch florists. To see for yourself visit their website and see loads of pics and a rather stunning online magazine as well.
The base of the flower wall consisted of 13 species of Dianthus, different types of Hypericum (Tomato Flair®, Sakura Flair®, Magical Triumph and Magical Green Power), several species from the Eryngium Questar® series (Aquarius, Supernova, Magnetar and Capricorn) and a large number of yellow balls of Craspedia Paintball Pop™.
On top of that there was a second layer of flowers, put in water tubes. This layer contained various species from the Clematis Amazing® series (such as the Inspiration, London, Star River and Tokyo) and the tropical-looking Gloriosa Rothschildiana.
