Using OASIS® TerraBrick™ made easy

OASIS® TerraBrick™ Floral Media is the first compostable floral design brick produced by OASIS® Floral Products and although a completely different way to work, as delegates at last year’s Florist Event discovered in the hands-on sessions, it’s not only OK but possibly just a little bit marvellous!

Because once you get your head round it you’ll be pleased to see how easy it is never mind the fact it retains water, holds stems, and maintains flower life.

In fact, TerraBrick™ and the associated OASIS® Bio Base Brick Trays and shapes open up all sorts of design opportunities when you want compostability – for example at Green or Woodland Burial grounds - but with added security as well as time savings and, from this month a far lower cost.

Because OASIS® Floral Products have slashed the price of TerraBrick™ Floral Media by a whopping £13 which means that not only can you offer customers a more eco friendly solution but save money as well.

That said there are some tricks and tips to making it work to max effect so we’re sharing some of the top tips to make it easy.

1:  You can cut OASIS® TerraBrick™ Floral Media bricks to fit any type of container. However always cut when dry and use a serrated knife for the cleanest cuts.

2:  OASIS® TerraBrick™ Floral Media works best when packed snugly into a container.

3:  Soak OASIS® TerraBrick™ Floral Media by gently (and we mean gently) pouring on water.

4:  Two TerraBrick™ fit perfectly in a compostable OASIS® Bio Base Brick Tray. Or use four in a Double Brick Tray to create longer spray designs.

5:  As an alternative, you can pack it into the round or cross shaped OASIS® Bio Bases and tie with Jute to secure to create a compositable ‘based’ tribute – see the infographic below for details.
