Chelsea 2024 - Medals Winners announced
We don't envy the judges at RHS Chelsea Flower Show ... it's a tough call every time and 2024 was no different with another fabulous cohort of florist vying for medals and the grand title RHS Florist of the Year
This year there were two categories of floral exhibits in the Grand Pavilion. Creative Spaces - a freescape affair with no rules, or themes, but an opportunity for florists to have free rein over their own unique display. Although not judged for RHS medals, they are eligible for the Floristry Ambassador’s Choice Award which this year went to Kitty Grayson for her installation entitled Seed to Ceiling: ‘As above, so below’. A fabulous floral tapestry which she designed to illustrate the journey of a flower from seed to stunning bloom and beyond.
The other category, Floral Creations, featured smaller designs mounted on simple plinths and worked to the theme Colour. And colour absolutely abounded ... even within the all-foliage design by Laura Mallows. These were the judged designs and the ones that could win not just a medal but the coveted RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year title.
So, who did what and what did they win! You can see a full video of the pieces over on our Facebook page but here we share just a taste of the wonderful designs created and the medal rankings.
