New Alliance for Good Florist Guide
As the only ‘by appointment’ kitemark of quality Good Florist Guide has, for 25 years, been considered the Michelin Star for professional retail, studio and event florists. Now, in its Anniversary year, the brand takes another step forward with the announcement of a new strategic partnership.
Because as of 1st October the brand will be licenced to the Romara Agency, headed up by John Elstgeest, best known for his Flower Circus activities and a man with an in-depth knowledge of the industry.
The news will see Good Florist Guide improved and developed to take on the challenges of the next decade and beyond and become an even stronger support system for florists who mean business.
Commenting on the move, owner Caroline Marshall-Foster said. “I am delighted to see Good Florist Guide move into such capable hands. I have worked with John for over three years, and this is a logical partnership. His knowledge of the industry is huge and together we not only make a strong team but share the same values and desires to see the industry grow.
Caroline continued: “I am not disappearing though! Networking, writing and communicating are in my DNA so not only will I be continuing with both Florist Magazine and National Florist Day but for the first few months will still be involved and helping with Good Florist Guide. However, John and his team will bring a new dimension and support system to the project that I am sure will see it become even stronger.”
For John, becoming the partner is a logical extension of the Romara Agency activities. “I really admire what Caroline has achieved with Good Florist Guide over the years. The values of GFG and what we do match perfectly, with both sharing the goal of helping florists run their businesses more profitably. Not just by being more creative but on all the business aspects as well. These days it takes a lot of different skills to run a strong and profitable business, and I am convinced that together we can help both current and future GFG members even more.”
