Our UK contestant needs your help!
Caroline Crabb MDPF, AIFD, CFD needs the industry’s help when she represents the UK in the upcoming Europa Cup.
Because while our UK trade body, The British Florist Association, are able to fund the cost of entrance fees, flights and hotel for Caroline and her assistant Tracy Rowbottom and Flowervision, Bristol have generously agreed to sponsor the flowers and the transportation costs to Poland, she is still short of funds to do us proud.
As such - and like so many of the contestants competing - she is looking for help to add some much needed spondoolicks to her competition fund so that she can not only be sure of affording the right props but be able to practice her designs so she can come back a winner!
As she explains in her pitch letter “The Europa Cup is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world and florists from around the globe will follow the contest. The designs we create will generate future trends and great innovations, as well as showcase professional floristry to a wider audience across the globe.”
She continues; “However whilst it’s an incredible honour to represent the country and take part it does come at some expense and unfortunately, it’s down to me to raise the majority of funds needed!”
So far her EC fighting fund has reached £805. As Caroline is a member of Good Florist Guide they’ve added another £200 but there is still a way to go as ideally she needs at least £5,000 to be in with a chance.
Which is why we would urge anyone in the industry to help Caroline as the pressure of being a contestant is more than enough without having to worry about money as well.
