Simon Lycett to Teach BBC Maestro Course
Simon Lycett, florist to the stars, Royalty and regular TV presenter, is the latest name to join BBC Maestro’s online platform of world-class experts. His course, Decorating with Flowers, will explore the vibrant world of floristry, sharing invaluable tips, techniques, and arrangement ideas to add a burst of colour to any occasion.
Across his lessons, Simon will guide viewers through the essentials of flower arranging, sharing fundamental techniques for selecting and conditioning flowers, maximising foliage, and adopting both seasonal and sustainable approaches to designs.
With his trademark flair, Simon will demonstrate how to create stunning tablescapes, bouquets, Christmas wreaths, and garlands guaranteed to enhance any home or venue. Comprehensive course notes will explore both classical and contemporary approaches to flower arranging, while practical exercises will empower viewers to develop their own unique style and create amazing arrangements with confidence.
