Stephanie Harris joins Good Florist Guide Council
She’s been a member for 8 years, has two shops in Essex and late last year became the Retail Florist of the Year in the BFA Industry Awards. Who better to join the Good Florist Guide Council than Stephanie Harris, owner of The Rose Garden Florists in Great Dunmow and Great Bardfield.
Working alongside fellow Council members, Karen Lindsay, Karen Massey, Nicola Evans and Morgan Douglas Nuth, Steph brings a vast range of business knowledge to the team. Prior to retraining and opening her own shop, Steph worked in both the private and public sector as a successful Programme Manager implementing high profile complex business transformation programmes. Her advanced people management, communications, interpersonal and influencing skills along with her high level of personal motivation will make her an excellent addition to the Council.
Now she will not only help take GFG to new heights but will also be Chairman of the Florist Panel for the newly launched National Florist Day which takes place on June 8th this year.
Commenting on her appointment Steph said: “Good Florist Guide is everything I want for the industry I love. A kitemark of quality, an expectation of the highest standards and a supportive and safe community that shares their knowledge willingly to help their fellow florist.
To be able to take a lead on National Florist Day is a bonus. In an industry where every Tom, Dick and Harriet seems to think they can sell flowers, it is essential we stand together to promote just what a professional, skilled florist is and the work and dedication that goes in to making customer’s dreams come true.”
