Craft and Design Fest at Leeds Castle
It’s been a while since we’ve reported flowery happenings at the oh so gorgeous Leeds Castle but on September 15 the fabulous Simon Lycett will be part of their Festival of Craft & Design at Leeds Castle which absolutely deserves a shout out.
And that’s not all. The equally fabulous Louise Roots – whose wedding work has created dreams for brides like no other - has created an amazing installation in the Courtyard.
The event is showcasing the best of Leeds Castle’s interiors, architecture, gardens, textiles and will offer a range of talks, tours and workshops that explore the unique history, art and design, as well as a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of this historic landmark.
Simon’s exclusive demonstration will be held at 11.00 on Friday 15th September when, using abundant seasonal stems, he will create a series of dazzling decorations and designs as well as sharing hints and tips.
Louise’s stunning installation is part of the Sculpture Trail, which this year is themed around animals and their habitats. Featuring a life size giraffe together with other wildlife, she and her team have transformed the ancient courtyard into a cornucopia of colour that will appeal to young and old.
Both are part of the general entry ticket price, but you do need to reserve a place for Simon so if you fancy a day out click here for all the details.
