Marginpar farms in Ethiopia fully compliant

2024 ended on a high for leading growers Marginpar with the news that that their Ethiopian Farms are now fully FSI Compliant. 

The certification means they fall in line with their counterparts in both Kenya and Tanzania and buyers can confidently know that ALL Marginpar flowers are grown to the very best standards.

Always a leader when in comes to sustainable practices, the reason their Ethiopian farm had to operate without a Global G.A.P. certificate for a time was due to two factors.

One was the construction of the new wetlands, which took longer - and turned out to be more complex - than expected. This water filtration system cleans wastewater from the farm using, among other things, aquatic plants and means the purified water can be reused in the flower fields.

The second hold up was the need to meet new standards which required upgrades in areas such as storage facilities.  However now the work has been completed, the new certification is in place and means 100% compliance.
