Plants & Flowers Foundation launch 'Feel the Plant Effect' campaign

People are facing more stimuli, loss of focus and mental pressure. With its new multi-year international campaign 'Feel the Plant Effect', Plants & Flowers Foundation Holland (PFFH) shows how houseplants can contribute to greater calm and wellbeing in everyday life.

Launched in the Netherlands, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, 'Feel the Plant Effect' highlights the positive impact plants can have on our wellbeing. The campaign will appear on billboards, in smart TV commercials, video ads and magazines, reaching a broad audience. It will also include influencer partnerships and a range of PR activations. In each country, the message is tailored to what matters locally: in the United Kingdom, PFFH is greening the changing room of a football club, while in Germany consumers can experience the effect of plants on a space for themselves through a live experiment.

"With this campaign, we want to establish a message that will last for years: feel the plant effect," says Monique Kemperman, Lead PR & Events at PFFH. "We want plants to have a natural place in the daily lives of millions of Europeans. Not as decoration, but as something that genuinely contributes to calm, relaxation and a pleasant living environment. If, a few years from now, people automatically think of plants when they need a moment of rest, we will have achieved our goal."

The campaign reflects PFFH's broader ambition to make the social value of plants more visible. By letting consumers experience not just the product but above all its effect, PFFH aims to foster a greater appreciation for greenery. 'Feel the Plant Effect' builds on the successful 'Plant Break' activation, in which PFFH greened secondary school exam venues in May 2026 in The Netherlands to help final-year students relax. The initiative was warmly received by schools, students and the media alike.

How the sector can get involved
PFFH invites growers, trading companies and other colleagues in the ornamental horticulture sector to join the campaign. A free toolkit is available on the PFFH website, including campaign videos, a poster and ready-to-use social media posts. Translating the campaign to the shop floor or other locations is strongly encouraged, for example at an event, trade fair, staff gathering, sports venue or educational institution. B2B partners already on board include World Horti Center, Waterdrinker and Veiling Plantion.
